SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established and progressive organisation operating within a complex group structure. They are seeking a technically proficient and commercially astute Group Accountant CA(SA) to partner closely with the CFO and support key financial reporting, treasury, governance, and strategic finance activities across the business. This opportunity is ideally suited to an ambitious finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at both an operational and strategic level.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Prepare and oversee group consolidations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. Compile monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and financial commentary for executive stakeholders and senior management. Ensure compliance with IFRS and assist with the preparation and review of annual financial statements and statutory reporting requirements. Manage the budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis processes while providing meaningful business insights to support decision-making. Oversee treasury activities, including banking relationships, funding requirements, covenant reporting, and foreign currency exposure management. Coordinate the external audit process, working closely with auditors and finance teams to ensure efficient and timely completion. Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence reviews, and integration projects while providing financial analysis on strategic initiatives. Identify financial and operational risks, recommending practical solutions to strengthen controls, governance, and reporting processes. Partner with finance teams across the organisation to drive consistency, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare board, executive, and governance reporting packs while acting as a trusted finance partner to the CFO. Skills & Experience: CA(SA) with a strong academic track record Minimum 5 years' post-articles experience in a senior finance role Proven experience within a listed or complex group environment advantageous Advanced IFRS knowledge Strong group consolidations and reporting experience Treasury and banking experience Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence processes Advanced Excel, financial modelling, and forecasting capabilities Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment Experience within manufacturing, distribution, retail, or similar sectors advantageous Qualification: CA (SA) Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
