SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Group Chief Digital & Technology Officer to lead and execute an enterprise-wide Digital, Data and Technology strategy within a complex financial services environment. This is a high-impact executive role for a visionary leader who can modernise legacy systems, unlock enterprise data value and drive innovation at scale, while ensuring governance, security and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

You will develop and implement a fit-for-purpose Digital, Data & Technology strategy and operating model that enables sustainable business growth and long-term competitiveness.

Enterprise digital transformation
Data optimisation and governance
Technology architecture and integration
AI, machine learning and predictive analytics enablement
Cloud deployment and legacy modernisation
Strategic technology service delivery and governance

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Transformation

Develop and oversee the digital, data and technology strategy aligned to business objectives
Lead large-scale transformation and system modernisation initiatives
Drive AI, machine learning, CRM and predictive analytics implementation
Oversee re-platforming, refactoring and cloud migration initiatives
Ensure architectural integrity and compliance across all platforms
Measure ROI on digital initiatives and optimise investment impact

Data & Innovation

Drive realisation of enterprise data use cases
Embed robust data privacy and security frameworks
Identify emerging technologies that create strategic advantage
Implement scalable cloud-based solutions

Leadership & Culture

Lead and inspire a high-performing digital and technology function
Foster an agile, innovation-driven culture
Champion experimentation, learning and continuous improvement
Build strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation

Financial & Governance

Manage the digital and technology portfolio budget
Align investment decisions with business strategy
Implement financial risk management methodologies
Ensure compliance with agreed architectural and governance frameworks

Requirements

Postgraduate qualification in Business, IT, Digital Transformation, Computer Science or related field
15+ years managing complex technology solutions
15+ years leading digital and technology teams
10+ years within insurance or financial services
Proven track record delivering enterprise-wide digital transformation
Strong experience in data optimisation, agile methodologies, system integration and large-scale migrations
Experience implementing diverse digital operating models

Experience in scaling technology within complex or start-up environments will be advantageous.
