Group Financial Manager

POSITION INFO:

Group Financial Planning & Strategy:
Develop and implement financial strategy, plans, and annual calendar
Ensure IFRS compliance and manage financial resources

Performance Monitoring:
Set objectives with the CFO, monitor KPIs, and oversee monthly performance reports
Guide the preparation of consolidated group-wide and departmental budgets

Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with JSE listing requirements and financial control policies
Lead internal and external audit processes and manage financial system controls

Staff Management:
Manage recruitment, staff development, performance appraisals, and retention
Handle disciplinary issues and ensure effective team operations

Financial Reporting:
Oversee monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and statutory reporting
Prepare reporting packs for the Audit Committee and Board

Treasury Management:
Manage cash flow, bank transfers, and relationships with banks and funders
Ensure proper oversight of payment authorizations and signatories

Taxation Compliance:
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, manage tax returns, and resolve disputes with tax authorities

Share Incentive Scheme:
Administer the share incentive scheme and report to the Remuneration Committee

General Financial Control:
Oversee account reconciliations, payment authorizations, and financial sustainability assessments

Skills & Experience:
Non-negotiable:
Staff management experience
CA(SA)

Advantageous:
Experience working in a JSE-listed company
Proficiency with Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics D365
Familiarity with TM1
Demonstrated operational experience


Qualification:
Bachelor of Accounting or BCom Accounting
CA(SA)
