POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description: A well-established South African engineering and industrial organisation is looking for a Group Financial Manager to join its Finance team. This is a senior finance role within a diverse group environment, offering exposure to up to 30 entities, complex consolidations, statutory reporting and international stakeholder management. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate group reporting while working across multiple entities and jurisdictions, providing financial insight and supporting the broader business at a senior level. Key Responsibilities: Oversee group financial reporting across a portfolio of up to 30 entities Manage and review complex group consolidations Ensure accurate and timely preparation of group financial statements Manage statutory financial reporting requirements across the group Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements Coordinate financial reporting requirements across multiple international jurisdictions Manage relationships with international stakeholders and finance teams Review and analyse financial information across various entities Provide financial insight and support to senior management Drive consistency and accuracy across group finance processes and reporting Support internal and external audit processes Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls and reporting processes Provide guidance and leadership to the finance team Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic finance projects Job Experience and Skills Required: Qualification: CA(SA) qualification Relevant postgraduate accounting or finance qualification advantageous Experience: 5-7 years' management experience within a finance environment Strong group accounting experience Proven experience managing reporting across multiple entities Strong complex consolidation experience Extensive statutory reporting experience Experience working across international entities or jurisdictions Strong stakeholder management experience Engineering, mining or manufacturing experience advantageous Experience within a large, multi-entity organisation advantageous Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting knowledge Group financial reporting Complex consolidations Statutory reporting International financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial controls The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is: Technically strong and commercially minded A confident finance leader Highly analytical and detail-oriented Comfortable working with complex financial information Strong in stakeholder management and communication Able to operate effectively across multiple entities and jurisdictions Decisive and solutions-driven Able to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines Strategic while remaining hands-on when required Honest, reliable and accountable Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment Why consider this opportunity?
