SUMMARY:
A rare Executive opportunity exists for an exceptional Security Executive to lead a highly complex, integrated security environment responsible for the protection of critical national financial infrastructure, strategic assets, Executive stakeholders, and high-value operations.

POSITION INFO:
This is not a traditional security management role.

The position requires an experienced leader capable of operating at both Strategic and Operational Executive level within a high-risk, highly regulated, and nationally significant environment.

The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight across multidisciplinary security functions including:

Enterprise security strategy
Executive protection
National Key Point (NKP) environments
High-value asset protection and transportation
Threat and incident management
Physical security infrastructure
Security governance, risk and compliance
Intelligence and security analysis
Investigations and integrity management
Large-scale operational security leadership

The role carries accountability for extensive operational security environments, multiple facilities and specialised security divisions, requiring a leader with exceptional judgement, resilience, credibility, and stakeholder management capability.

Essential Experience
This should be clear in your CV. Applicants must demonstrate substantial senior leadership experience within complex, high-consequence security environments, including:

National Key Point (NKP) operations.
Executive / VIP protection.
High-value asset transportation and protection.
Enterprise-wide security risk management.
Large multidisciplinary security teams and operations.
Strategic engagement with Executive, regulatory, and state security stakeholders.

Preferred Background
Suitable candidates may come from:

Critical infrastructure environments,
Strategic financial institutions,
Intelligence or specialised law enforcement environments,
Defence or national security structures,
High-value asset or strategic risk environments.

Qualifications:

Honours Degree in Security, Security Risk Management or equivalent NQF8 qualification.
A Management qualification would be advantageous.

The Ideal Candidate:
This role requires far more than operational security expertise. We are seeking a highly credible Executive Leader with the ability to:

Operate strategically in complex environments,
Lead through pressure and ambiguity,
Manage significant security risk exposure,
Influence at executive and stakeholder level,
Drive integrated security capability across a large organisation.

Due to the strategic nature and seniority of this role, only candidates with substantial enterprise-level security leadership experience will be considered.
