We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially astute professional who can hit the ground running and strengthen enterprise-wide risk and compliance frameworks across a complex, multi-entity environment.

As the Head of Group Risk & Compliance, you will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and take ownership of driving enterprise risk management and compliance excellence across the Group.

You will play a critical role in safeguarding the business against financial, operational, and reputational risks, while embedding a strong risk culture throughout the organisation.

Duties:

• Lead and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
• Oversee the full Group compliance universe across all entities and geographies
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and internal policies
• Drive proactive risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making
• Promote a strong, embedded risk and compliance culture across the business

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Risk, Finance, Law, or related field
• Postgraduate degree in Risk, Finance, Law, or related field
• Professional certifications such as IRMSA, CFA, CIA, or CISA (advantageous)

• 10–15 years’ experience in risk management and compliance
• Minimum 5 years at a senior strategic leadership level
• Proven experience in complex, multi-entity organisations
• Strong background in enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory compliance
• Ability to operate at executive level with strong business acumen

• Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to operate at executive level
• Deep understanding of enterprise risk management, governance, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills across complex organisations
• Excellent communication and executive reporting capability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive risk mindset
• Ability to drive change and embed a strong risk and compliance culture
