Group Head of People

We have a Group Head of People available in the Sandton area to support the growing People Teams across the Company’s three major divisions. Your primary role will be to lead, motivate and develop the Training and Development, Recruitment and Human Capital Teams to deliver their best work, through the design/identification and application of progressive, innovative and value adding people practices

Requirements: 

• Master’s in Industrial Psychology and Registered with the
• HPCSA (preferential)
• 6 or more years’ experience in field, with the potential to be a leader
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple functional areas of HR
• Solid experience in a fast growing or rapidly changing organisation/s
• Sound knowledge of SA labour legislation
• Knowledge of Sage Systems (Advantageous)

Responsibilities include the following:

• Lead the development of best in class people strategies that support each division in achieving its strategic goals
• Be accountable and responsible for the achievement and evaluation of the Group People, and its departmental, objectives and key results
• Be an active and effective member of the Leadership Team, ensuring the high visibility, focus and delivery of the People and Culture activity
• Lead an integrated People service that delivers business goals through engaging people-focused policies and best in class practices
• Inspire, develop and mentor the T&D, Recruitment and Human Capital Teams to ensure that they are focused on delivering an excellent and consistent employee experience to the business and they are supported by the most appropriate digital tools
• Ensure all statutory obligations relating to human resources, recruitment, training and development and Occupational Health are adhered to
