POSITION INFO:
In operational businesses, strong management accounting is what turns financial data into business direction. A well-established organisation within the engineering and industrial environment is looking for a Group Management Accountant to join its finance leadership team in Germiston.

This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in operational environments, enjoys leading teams, and understands how to translate numbers into commercial insight. You’ll play a critical role in driving reporting accuracy, business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance across the group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned management accountant who wants to be closely involved in business operations while mentoring and leading a finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the group management accounting function across multiple entities
Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial reports
Driving budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Providing commercial insights and financial analysis to support strategic decisions
Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Managing costing, margin analysis, and financial performance reporting
Leading and mentoring the finance team while driving accountability and performance
Supporting month-end and year-end reporting requirements
Assisting with process improvements and strengthening financial controls
Partnering closely with operational leadership and stakeholders across the business

Job Experience and Skills Required

BCom Accounting / Finance
CIMA (studying/completed)
10+ years’ experience in management accounting or commercial finance
Experience within engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors preferred
Strong management accounting and reporting capability
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong systems and advanced Excel proficiency
Fully bilingual (non-negotiable)
