POSITION INFO:
This is a high-visibility Group-level reporting role designed for a technically strong CA(SA) who wants exposure to EXCO, Board reporting, and complex consolidations. The position sits at the centre of financial decision-making, translating IFRS technical accuracy into strategic insight. It requires precision, commercial awareness, and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
The role suits a newly qualified CA with solid post-articles experience who is looking to move beyond compliance into impact. It offers direct involvement in group consolidated reporting, technical accounting, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic financial services environment.

Duties:

• Assist with the preparation and review of Group consolidated financial statements for each reporting period (EXCO and Board reporting).
• Review subsidiary financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Address IFRS technical accounting queries and prepare/review supporting technical documentation.
• Provide consolidation pack training to financial managers.
• Support financial managers throughout the reporting cycle.
• Liaise with external audit providers and manage audit-related processes.
• Manage and track stakeholder queries, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in and positively influence change initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the reporting function.
• Identify and implement solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• CA(SA) – newly qualified.

• 1–2 years’ post-articles experience essential.
• Minimum 2 years’ solid IFRS reporting experience.
• Experience with Group reporting and consolidations essential.
• Exposure to EXCO and senior stakeholders highly preferable.
• Experience within an insurance or broader financial services environment advantageous.
• Experience with Cognos Controller advantageous.
