POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description Our client is a well-established manufacturer with a reputation for operational excellence and continuous improvement. They are looking for an experienced HR Officer to partner with management across the business, providing end-to-end HR support while ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation and HR best practices. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and talent development to employee relations, Skills Development, and Employment Equity. You'll join a business that values its people and recognises HR as a strategic partner in driving operational success. Key Responsibilities Manage the full recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding process. Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, grievances, disciplinary processes, and labour legislation. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices. Maintain accurate employee records and administer the HR Information System (HRIS). Coordinate payroll inputs and administer employee benefits. Drive employee engagement and wellness initiatives. Manage Skills Development, including training needs analysis, implementation of learning interventions, WSP\/ATR submissions, and SETA reporting. Coordinate Employment Equity processes, including EE Committee meetings, reporting, and implementation of transformation initiatives. Prepare HR reports and provide management with relevant people analytics. Support managers with HR-related guidance to achieve business objectives. Job Experience and Skills Required Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related qualification. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' HR Generalist experience. Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, or industrial environment is highly advantageous. Proven experience managing Skills Development, SETA submissions, and Employment Equity reporting. Strong knowledge of South African Labour Legislation, including the BCEA, LRA, EEA, and Skills Development Act. Experience supporting payroll processes and HR administration. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience working on HRIS and payroll systems. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Able to work independently, use initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
