A well-known International Chemical Manufacture requires the above to provide stewardship to Accounting and all Financial activities, Statutory Compliance, Taxation, Treasury and Insurance providing guidance and overseeing the functions of Customer Services, Procurement and IT as well as managing all third-party relationships controlling, improving profitability through margin and fixed Cost Manag

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary Accounting Qualification CA(SA) or CIMA is essential.
• Previous working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS requirements is preferred as they will be reporting into the USA.
• Previous experience having worked in a Senior Finance role either Head of Finance or related Senior Management roles working within a USA multinational company is essential.
• Good people management and leadership qualities as well as excellent communication skills at all levels and someone who is a good manager of Third-Party relationships is essential.
• Understanding of Strategic Management, RSA Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting, SAP or related ERP system is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and overseeing the full accounting function - accounts payable, receivable, tax etc.
• Controlling working capital and cash flow for two entities.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts plus statutory local and IFRS accounts and controlling fixed costs.
• Monitoring and improving MOAVC percentage and pre-tax profits.
• Preparing and managing the submission of annual budgets and strategic plans as well as overseeing and submitting Annual Tax returns and provisional payments as well as preparing profit improvement plans.
• Responsible for the general administration of Finance, Secretarial and Insurance.
• Preparing monthly Financial Statements and year-end Financial packs for the US.
• Liaise with Senior and Executive Management in respect of budget, actual performance and strategic plans etc.
• Attending and driving negotiations with Financial and Insurance Institutions.
• Managing and evaluating existing product margins and controlling fixed costs to improving profitability.
• Actively managing all working capital including receivables, payables and inventory, optimising cash flow and net financing position.
• Evaluating Capital Projects from inception through to post implementation review.
• Ensuring that local tax and GAAP is compliant within the Company.
