Head Office Management Accountant - Pretoria East, Gauteng

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for an experienced and highly detail-oriented Head Office Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team within the automotive import and distribution sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, management accounts, fixed asset management, imports, foreign exchange, intercompany transactions, compliance and audit preparation , while providing accurate financial insights to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare month-end reporting packs, management accounts and presentations Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management Generate reports using Power BI and MS Excel Manage intercompany and related-party loans and transactions Account for USD transactions, foreign exchange movements and interest calculations Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation Maintain audit files and prepare monthly audit reconciliations Manage fixed assets, depreciation and CAPEX approvals Manage Right of Use Assets and liabilities in accordance with IFRS 16 Support import-related accounting and Production Rebate Certificate processing Review supplier pricing, standard costs and related General Ledger provisions Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax and regulatory requirements Minimum Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience within the automotive industry or a multinational trading environment Relevant BCom degree or equivalent university qualification CIMA qualification would be advantageous Strong exposure to: Fixed Assets Right of Use Assets Import and Standard Cost Accounting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Provisions Banking and Foreign Exchange VAT and Tax Audit Strong experience preparing and presenting Management Accounts Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Excel and MS Office Experience working with MS Business Central \/ DealerBox advantageous Strong presentation skills Skills & Competencies Excellent attention to detail Strong analytical and numerical ability Strong problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work with stakeholders at various levels Strong organisational and time-management skills Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Self-motivated and team-oriented CV Submissions: Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
