SUMMARY:
Our client in the Financial Services industry is currently looking to appoint someone to the Head of Audit vacancy within their Johannesburg North based Finance team. Our client is searching for a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with outstanding achievements from the Audit field. If you are the ideal candidate, please apply!

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) designation and/or eligibility is STRICTLY required
• Minimum 1 years’ previous working experience within a senior Audit position at a reputable audit and/or accounting firm
• South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)articles completed at a ‘Big 4 Firm’ is advantageous
• Outstanding academic and/or professional achievements are advantageous

Job description & Skills:

• Overseeing the performance of the Tax Office Audits and Enquires departments to ensure that target deadlines are efficiently and/or effectively met
• Providing insight and support that ensures that the relevant Audit and Enquiries teams can understand and/or unpack queries raised by various Tax Offices involving the respective multinational clients
• Managing the performance of the in-house Audit and Enquires teams whiling supervising and maintaining oversight of assigned subordinates
• Liaising with the relevant Client Service Executives to obtain information required for audits
• Assisting with reconciling tax matters while ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the respective multinational tax and/or regulatory authorities
• Engaging with clients throughout the Audit systems, processes, and procedures to ensure that the auditing services provided meet the respective clients’ needs
• Drafting responses to the respective Tax Offices and/or regulatory authorities
