POSITION INFO:
Multi-jurisdictional banking group is looking for an experienced Head of Business Process to lead process governance, standardisation and continuous improvement across its shared services operations. This is a contract role opportunity and will report to the MD. Why Join This Team? You will shape how a multi-jurisdictional banking group designs, governs and improves its operational processes The role sits at the centre of correspondent banking, payments, treasury, trade finance, onboarding, compliance and back-office functions You will drive standardisation and digitisation across entities, ensuring every process is compliant, measurable and built for scale This is a strategic, high-visibility role reporting directly to the Managing Director What You Will Be Doing: Process Governance & Strategy Establish and lead the Business Process Management (BPM) framework for the shared service centre and all supported entities Define and maintain the group process architecture, aligned to business strategy Oversee a central process repository and governance structure for documentation, approval and version control Define Standard Operating Procedures and Committee charters Drive a continuous improvement roadmap, prioritising automation and efficiency gains Process Design, Standardisation & Optimisation Map and streamline end-to-end processes across banking operations, onboarding, treasury, payments and compliance Lead process re-engineering initiatives Harmonise workflows across regional teams Define and track Key Process Indicators (KPIs) Risk & Compliance Integration Embed risk and control frameworks (RCSA, SOPs, segregation of duties) into core processes Ensure compliance with jurisdictional laws and international standards (Basel II, FATF, ISO 9001) Coordinate with Legal and Compliance on regulatory change management Maintain full audit trails for regulatory inspection readiness Shared Services & Operational Excellence Manage process integration across finance, HR, onboarding, KYC, operations, IT support and treasury settlements Develop SLAs and OLAs to measure service delivery performance Continuously improve shared service processes for cost efficiency and scalability People Leadership & Change Enablement Lead and mentor a high-performing Process Excellence team Champion a culture of operational excellence and accountability Oversee communication, training and adoption of new processes and automation initiatives Reporting & Insights Deliver regular process performance and efficiency reports Quantify ROI on process and automation initiatives Maintain a balanced scorecard for process maturity, compliance and service delivery What We Are Looking For: Proven experience in banking operations or shared services leadership Strong exposure to multi-jurisdictional banking or fintech operations Demonstrated ability to lead cross-border teams and manage change in complex environments Technical: process mapping (BPMN), operational risk integration, regulatory awareness Leadership: cross-functional influence, people development, strategic vision Analytical: strength in KPIs, root cause analysis and cost-benefit analysis Behavioural: integrity, adaptability, innovation, collaborative leadership Benefits and Unique Aspects: A rare opportunity to build and own a group-wide BPM framework from a strategic seat Direct exposure to cross-border banking operations spanning multiple regulatory environments A reporting line straight to the Managing Director The chance to lead and grow a Process Excellence team Please note if you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
