Head of IT

SUMMARY:
My client who is a world class organization is currently looking for a Head of IT candidate for their head office. Successful candidate must be ambitious and ready to lead the team. This will be a strategic role and it also comes with a performance bonus.

POSITION INFO:

Description:

Responsible individual in charge of information technology (IT) strategy and the systems required to support objectives and goals. Oversees technology-related strategies, initiatives and designs/plans for the organization’s needs and addresses any tech-related problems. Analyses technology risks/trends and communicates with executives to ensure all stakeholders are informed of major IT and Technology related developments. Help the organization move forward with advances in technology and methods of processing and managing information. Serves as a team leader for the information technology department and strategy planning.

Manage and assist in the daily departmental operation of all IT & Technology related systems, i.e. Server Infrastructure, IT Support, Systems Design, Communications Networks (estate and organization), FTTH Infrastructure, Administrative and Security Systems.

Education:

B Sc. Computer Science.

Skills:

• Staff Management experience.
• Office 365
• Relevant Compliance knowledge, e.g. POPI, Cyber Crime Act
• Proficient in SQL
• Communication with C level.
• Solid IT background and consistently keeping up to date with advancements of the field and be a respected industry expert, achieved for example by regular IT conference attendance as a delegate and/or speaker, continued professional development.
• 5 years Technical experience
• 5 years Senior Management experience with exposure to C level

5 years Operational experience
