Head of Operations (Solar)

POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Solar Head of Operations. As the Solar Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our solar energy projects, ensuring maximum energy production, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of operations and maintenance professionals to ensure the optimal performance of solar energy assets.
• Develop and implement operations and maintenance strategies to maximize energy output, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of solar installations.
• Monitor and analyze the performance data of solar projects, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance to optimize project performance and drive cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety within the operations team.
• Establish and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on the operational performance of solar assets, highlighting key metrics and achievements.
• Develop and manage the operations budget, controlling costs and resource allocation.

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of at least 8 years in solar operations and maintenance, with 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and associated technologies.
• Experience in managing teams and fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Project management experience and proficiency in relevant software tools.
