SUMMARY:
A senior finance role for a technically strong CA(SA) who thrives in complexity, pace, and scale. If you enjoy owning group consolidations in a high-volume FMCG environment and want real influence over group reporting and decision-making, this role offers both challenge and progression.

POSITION INFO:
This opportunity sits within a well-established FMCG group with multiple operating entities and a strong footprint in the South African market. The role is critical to the group finance function, taking full ownership of the consolidation process and group reporting while working closely with senior leadership. The business offers a dynamic, fast-moving environment, strong systems, and exposure to strategic finance at group level. This is an ideal role for a CA(SA) looking to deepen their technical expertise while remaining commercially relevant. Based in Cape Town, the role offers long-term growth, visibility, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Full ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidations
Preparation and review of group financial statements in line with IFRS
Management of intercompany eliminations, group adjustments, and foreign currency translations
Technical accounting support, including new accounting standards and complex transactions
Liaison with auditors and management of the group audit process

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ post-articles experience with proven group consolidations exposure; FMCG or high-volume operational environment experience highly advantageous
Skills: Advanced Excel; exposure to consolidation tools and ERP systems beneficial
Other: Strong IFRS knowledge, high attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and strong stakeholder engagement skills
