SUMMARY:

Our client based in Cape Town withing the  Retail/ advertising industry is searching for a dynamic Human Resource Manager who will be able to provide leadership on people related strategies, issues and policies. Creating and implementing frameworks that will support the functioning and the growth of departments and the company as a whole. Most importantly to ensure that all labour legislative requirements are met to alleviate the company from any possible risk.



POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 – 8 Years’ experience in HR Manager position
  • Labour Law experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources
  • MBA will be advantage
  • Excellent communication

Duties of the Human Resource Manager includes (but not limited to):

General:

  • Creating great people practices that are aligned with, and enhance the company value and culture.
  • Ensure legal and professional approach to all employees.
  • Personnel record keeping.
  • Management, reporting and improvement strategies of Employment Equity Act
  • Strategic Training and Development interventions, submissions of WSP / ATR and Discretionary grants applications aligned with business strategy.
  • Expense control and Budget Management
  • Facilities Management, by ensuring that all offices nationally are maintained to the required standard.
  • AARTO and POPI compliance

Industrial Relations:

  • Ensure that IR issues are handled as per legislation.
  • Employee Relations by providing advice to management and employees on their rights within the legal parameters at all times.
  • Act as an impartial mediator between management and employees on all IR matters and assist with any Disciplinary processes including CCMA representation.
  • Formulating charges for disciplinary warnings in accordance with company code of conduct

Talent Management

  • Implementing the best recruitment and onboarding practices to attract and retrain top talent.
  • Searching for the best candidates for the position.
  • Communication with recruitment agents.
  • Conducting interviews.
  • Compile contracts and starter packs for new employees.
  • Exit interviews.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Implement, develop and manage the Performance Management process.
  • Ensure performance appraisals are conducted.
  • Ensure appraisals are received.

Payroll:

  • Payroll and Employee Benefit programmes and management.
  • Compensation Fund reporting on IOD and annual ROE submissions.
  • Review Payroll and sign off (Sage VIP).

Employee Wellness and Safety:

  • Assist on a continuous basis the wellness of employees.
  • Health and Safety management and compliance as 16.2 appointment
  • Investigating and reporting of incidents.
  • Liaison with Safety Consultant.
