SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join a dynamic environment and develops policies and coordinates human resources activities. The right candidate must come from a Marketing or Communications Environment.

POSITION INFO:

Job Specification;

HR Administration

Assist with drawing up offer letters, contracts of employment (temp and perm), learnership and internship agreements, separation agreements, termination notices 
Acknowledgment of debt agreements for staff loans
Workback obligation agreements (maternity, training, bursaries)
Develop and maintain relevant HR policy and procedure documents, staff lists 

Payroll

Capture new employee details on payroll system
Check payroll reports 
Check ACB file against Remuneration Lists before salaries are released by FD

Reporting

Complete and submit Employment Equity Reports (statutory)
Complete and submit Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports 
Compile Skills and Management Control sections for BEE scorecard
Compile reports for Management as and when required

Employee Relations

Facilitate day-to-day employee relations matters 

Industrial Relations

Advise and oversee disciplinary matters
Assist in representing the organisation at CCMA 
Facilitate discussions 
Handle and investigate grievances

Handle poor performance, probation, retrenchment procedures, and paperwork

Recruitment and Selection

Oversee HR staff dealing with recruitment and selection
Management of all recruitment campaigns 

Training and Development

Investigate best training providers and courses relevant to skills development
Book training and maintain training records 
Manage job shadowing, internship, and leadership programmes

Employment Equity and BEE Scorecard

Ensure that equal opportunities are adhered to

Implement mechanisms to promote the elimination of discrimination in the workplace
Act as the management representative for EE on the Skills Development and Employment Equity committee
Develop, submit and manage the implementation of the Employment Equity plan and report annually

General

Develop and implement HR strategies
Oversee and manage HR staff
Keep up to date with changes in labour legislation and latest trends
Manage ongoing HR queries
Oversee wellness initiatives and onboarding
Assist with Health and Safety requirements- form part of Health and Safety Committee
Manage and co-ordinate all Social Responsibility activities in line with BBBEE strategy and as directed the relevant Director.
Liaise with Compensation Commissioner in event of injuries on duty- ensure correct reports/forms submitted

 

Minimum Requirements;

Matric or Equivalent

Relevant HR-related tertiary qualification

10 + years experience

EE candidates only

Patient, conscientious, and detail focussed

Methodical, organised, structured and systematic

Ability to work in a pressured environment

Knowledge of all relevant Labour Legislation (BCEA, LRA,SDA,EEA)

Proactive and efficient

Integrity and maintain high levels of confidentiality

Ability to work independently

Excellent interpersonal skills

Deadline driven

Oral and written communication skills (English language)

Attention to detail and checking skills  (identifying discrepancies in data)

Planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management skills

Administrative skills
