An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong Sales Engineer with a background in process control or instrumentation to join a growing industrial automation business, combining technical expertise with client-focused sales in the mining and industrial sectors.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales by identifying client needs and providing technically sound automation solutions. You will engage directly with customers, build strong relationships, and contribute to business growth by expanding existing accounts and securing new opportunities. The role offers strong exposure to industry-leading technologies and a platform to grow within a competitive market.

Education:

Trade Test in Instrumentation or Process Control
or
National Diploma in Process Control, Industrial Automation, or Electrical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, or process control
Proven experience in technical or external sales within an industrial environment
Sound knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems
Strong understanding of field instrumentation, including flow, pressure, temperature, and level measurement
Ability to interpret technical specifications and offer solution-driven recommendations
Experience working within mining, manufacturing, or processing industries will be advantageous
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Ability to identify new business opportunities and maintain long-term client partnerships
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
