SUMMARY:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client within the Smart Manufacturing sector for a dynamic and driven Industrial Engineer. This role is suited to a technically strong individual who is passionate about process optimisation, continuous improvement, and performance enhancement across diverse industrial environments.

The successful candidate will support both internal operational improvement initiatives and external client-facing projects, contributing to measurable efficiency gains and operational excellence across multiple sectors.

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and oversee industrial engineering projects from planning through to execution and post-project evaluation
Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycles
Identify and document opportunities for internal process improvement
Develop and implement practical and innovative remedial solutions
Monitor implementation progress and adjust strategies based on measurable outcomes
Perform detailed data analysis to align KPIs with project objectives
Generate meaningful performance insights to improve efficiency and productivity
Validate data integrity and ensure reporting accuracy
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Develop dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools
Support Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives
Adapt to project-specific requirements across multiple industrial sectors

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial engineering
Proven project management experience
Exposure to multi-sector industrial environments such as FMCG, Mining, Water or Manufacturing
Demonstrated leadership or mentorship capability

Technical Skills:

Process optimisation and workflow analysis
Data analysis and visualisation using Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar
Project management tools such as MS Project or equivalent
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
KPI development and performance tracking
Basic understanding of automation, production planning, and quality management systems
Knowledge of Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts

Adaptable, proactive and solution-oriented
Ability to work independently and within teams

Salary

A market-related salary is offered in the region of approximately R30 000 to R35 000 per month CTC, depending on experience.
The package may include employer contributions toward medical aid and retirement funding, as well as additional benefits such as travel-related allowances and company tools required for the role.
