Infrastructure Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for driving successful infrastructure projects? Our client in the Mining Industry is looking for a dynamic Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure initiatives

This is a contract position until Dec 2025

Purpose of the Role:

• Build and manage the end-to-end project plan, and monitor/report progress. Effectively manage scope and dependencies. Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them. Ensure that the project is delivered to time, cost and quality
• Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered.
• Support strong governance, aligned with the overall governance, and ensure that timely decisions are taken.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders.
• Support the Programme manager in the overall successful delivery of a Programme.
• Coordinate and manage resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
• Lead project meetings and set expectations.
• Maintain budget and forecast.
• Assessing and analyzing different options for the requirements of the project.
• Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure.
• Meeting stakeholders and assessing IT infrastructure needs.
• Meeting with IT solution architects and finalizing essential IT infrastructure.
• Planning and supervising installation of IT infrastructure.
• Travelling will be required.

• Experience of management of infrastructure projects (EUC, Networking, Voice, Security, Cloud)
• Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business
• Highly proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools
• Strong supplier & people management skills
• Technical background and understanding of infrastructure underpinnings of a complex network environment
• Knowledge about aspects of information technology specifically within complex infrastructure environments
• Expert hands on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask
• Analytical and observation skills
• Problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to six years of experience in Project Management activities
