SUMMARY:
Take on a pivotal Senior Internal Auditor role within a prominent financial services organisation. In this position, you will contribute directly to enhancing risk management, internal controls, and governance practices across the business. POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Perform internal audit engagements assessing risk management, control environments, and governance structures Identify critical risk areas through detailed risk assessments and audit planning processes Conduct audit fieldwork, including process walkthroughs, control testing, and data-driven analysis Produce concise, high-quality audit reports with actionable recommendations Investigate root causes of audit findings and assist management in implementing improvements Evaluate systems, processes, and controls to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness Carry out audits on intermediaries, service providers, and core business functions Liaise with stakeholders and present audit outcomes to senior leadership and committees Conduct follow-up audits to confirm remediation of identified issues Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies and frameworks Support and guide junior team members in their development Work alongside external and co-sourced audit partners Skills & Experience: 3-6 years' experience in internal auditing Strong expertise in risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks Background in financial services, with preference for short-term insurance exposure Advanced auditing capabilities, including data analytics, process evaluation, and control testing Knowledge of insurance regulations and the broader compliance environment Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical thinking skills Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple audit engagements simultaneously Qualification: CIA or CA(SA) For more information connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
