POSITION INFO:
A leading building contractor is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on high-quality residential developments in the Paarl area. Minimum Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying 2 - 5 years' relevant experience in the building construction industry Experience on residential developments will be advantageous Good understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control Ability to measure and prepare bills of quantities Experience with subcontractor procurement and payment certificates Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Valid driver's licence and own transport Key Responsibilities: Assist with project cost planning and budgeting Measurement and preparation of quantities Obtain and evaluate subcontractor quotations Assist with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Prepare and process subcontractor payment certificates Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports Assist with variation orders and final accounts Liaise with site management, consultants, and subcontractors Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets
