POSITION INFO:

Key Account Director – Management Consulting (AA/EE)

 

Seeking a senior, pro-active, and experienced Key Account Director to assist a leading Consulting firm.  You will be expected to drive delivery of our client strategy and develop new relationships at the highest level within existing and new clients. You will ensure that the rest of the Client and Strategy teams are working together to maximise accounts and coordinate resources needed to service projects, build delivery plans.

 

 

You will meet the following minimum requirements

  • Degree in Business / Project Management / Engineering or related, and
  • At least 10 - 12 years’ relevant experience in a account management environment
  • Project Management or Operational Excellence related qualifications would be preferred
  • Management consulting sector experience (highly desirable)
  • Project or Process Management experience, or Operational Excellence experience is key, with an understanding of Governance, Strategy, Operations and/or Implementation.
  • Must be an entrepreneurial thinker, willing to roll up your sleeves to provide 360 degree contribution (strategy, implementation, operations involvement etc)
  • Successful experience and expertise within the commercial sector.
  • Experienced in a “Client management” role with the ability to manage the account in terms of projects that are ‘live’, plus seeking new opportunities.
  • Evidence of engagement with and convincing of senior stakeholders including c-suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written into all levels of the organisation

 

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Own senior client relationships on assigned accounts
  • Act as Business Partner ensuring overall client satisfaction and revenue growth
  • Provide inspiring leadership and direction to their account teams
  • Build and manage revenue pipeline against financial plan and new business targets
  • Ensure penetration across product/service portfolio with cross/up-sell including innovations
  • Lead the client relationship on pitches/proposals for new clients, leveraging sector expertise and insight and owning the client value proposition
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence when building relationships and dealing with potentially difficult situations. Be available and offer advice, opinion, and support to the team.
  • Provide leadership in growing existing accounts and anticipates and leads in the resolution of emerging problems.
  • Diversify and grow assigned accounts to ensure client retention.
