Our client is an established manufacturing and distribution business supplying a wide range of products to major South African retailers. Operating within a high-volume environment with an extensive product catalogue, the business requires strong account management and data-driven decision-making to optimise product performance across retail partners.

They are seeking a commercially minded Key Account Manager to manage key retail accounts, focusing on product performance, stock movement, and range optimisation across a large SKU base. This is a relationship and analytics-driven role, not a cold-calling sales position.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain relationships with major retail accounts Oversee performance of a large product portfolio (±900 SKUs) across key clients Analyse product sales data, stock movement, and shelf performance Identify top-performing and underperforming products and drive corrective actions Monitor product lifecycle, shelf presence, and rotation within retail environments Work closely with buyers to optimise product ranges and listings Provide data-driven insights and reporting to internal stakeholders and clients Forecast demand trends and support planning based on sales data Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, and planning) to ensure product availability Ensure smooth execution of orders, stock replenishment, and delivery timelines Travel to Johannesburg as required to manage key accounts Requirements Proven experience in Key Account Management within retail or FMCG environments Strong analytical ability with experience managing large product ranges Experience working with major South African retailers (essential) Advanced Excel and data analysis skills Strong relationship management and communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Send your CV to Persona Staff (PTY) Ltd is POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013) compliant.
