JOB SUMMARY:
To ensure overall management of legal and compliance guidance to the organisation in SA businesses and/ clients. Including but not limited to structuring solutions for disputes, providing support in legal issues, reviewing and negotiating contracts of daily operators, vendors and companies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assisting the General Legal Counsel in implementing company’s vision, plans and strategies
Assist in conducting a due diligence of strategic/material contracts that the business is party to ensure compliance with the new business and regulatory environment
Perform legal analysis and research legal matters
Maintaining legal files and ensuring that the working practices are in accordance with company policies and procedures
Conducting own cases and assisting employees and partners in negotiating terms, representing and advising
Ensuring that services are provided on time and updating clients constantly on the progress and costs
Provide guidance and draft memoranda, opinions and briefing documents to present company cases
Structure of third-party relations by assist in reviewing and revising historical agreements
Developing and implementing an effective legal compliance program for organisation’s to mitigate risks (Tax, Procurement, Regulatory)
Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
3 to 5 years experience as a legal advisor or counsel
LLB Law Degree or related Law Degree
