POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: Will work exclusivley with government institutions and public-sector entities. Accordingly, we require a candidate with demonstrable experience in handling legal matters on behalf of, or involving, government institutions. The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of the legal, regulatory and administrative frameworks applicable to organs of state, as well as practical experience in managing the procedural, compliance and reporting requirements associated with public-sector legal work. LLB Degree. Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience. Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa will be advantageous. Valid driver's licence will be advantageous. Proven ability to independently manage a litigation portfolio from inception to finalisation. Experience in government legal matters involving national and local government departments, municipalities and other organs of state. Experience dealing with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and public entities will be advantageous Civil and commercial litigation.
