JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – KZN – R850K NEG

BEng. Electrical with GCC and 5 -10 years FMCG maintenance engineering experience covering all engineering disciplines Electrical/Mechanical/ Instrumentation/Civil. Knowledge of OHS Act, Hazardous Chemicals, National Environmental Legislation. Conduct HAZOP study & participate in HACCP study. Assess risk involved in conducting various jobs & activities. Planning & communicating jobs which entail work on high risk areas – high pressure super heated steam, sulphuric acid, anhydrous ammonia, chlorine gas, phosphoric acid, nitric acid. Interfacing projects/modifications with production. Ensure plant staff are trained to operate new process/equipment & that SOP’s are provided. Comply with ModProp process. Identify recurring troublesome equipment/problems & propose & implement alterations/modifications where agreed. Knowledge of all major plant equipment. Lead project commissioning.
