MIS Software Analyst (ETL)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION(S)

• NQF Level 7: Graduate Degree +

Qualifications Required :

• University degree in Information Technology

Qualifications Preferred:

• ITIL Advanced
• Certification in Software Engineering / Software Development

Experience Required:

• 6 years + in Software Development & Coding (Full-stack)
• 4 years + Software Development as ETL / BI Developer

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Writing code in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python etc
• Ability to read, analyse and transform data (ETL)
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases with specific focus on ETL
• Experience working with ETL tools such as SSIS and Oracle Data Integrator
• Datawarehouse design
• Excellent programming skills and knowledge of programming languages
• A solid understanding of how applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Strong Knowledge of MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle
• Ability to write efficient, complex queries against very large data sets using SQL
• Development and maintenance of ETL process for integration into BI Reports using ETL tools
