POSITION INFO:
Doornkraal Agri, based in the Witzenberg Valley in Ceres, is a leading and well-established producer of apples, pears, nectarines and cherries. The company has an exciting career opportunity for a hard-working and task-orientated Maintenance Manager, responsible for the maintenance, repairs and projects at all Doornkraal Agri’s production units. The successful incumbent will report to the General Manager: Production. Responsibilities: Development, implementation and management of maintenance plan (proactive & reactive maintenance & repairs) Effective maintenance and repair of all equipment, property, buildings, employee housing, workshops & vehicles Develop and manage project plans Procurement of stock and equipment \/ tools Cost \/ budget management in conjunction with General Manager: Production Management of maintenance team (including 2x Workshop Managers) and service providers Health & Safety management \/ compliance Requirements: Grade 12 Qualified Artisan \/ Trade test (preferably as Diesel Mechanic) Other relevant trade qualifications (Mechanical \/ Electrical) will be beneficial 5-10 years’ experience in maintenance (fruit industry experience will be advantageous) Well-developed technical knowledge and experience Supervisory and\/or management experience Well-developed computer literacy (MS Office: Excel) Well-developed communication skills (spoken and written Afrikaans and English) Planning and organisational skills Well-developed leadership & management skills Dynamic, self-driven and assertive
