Maintenance Planner

Our Client, a National blue-chip Group Leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a dynamic Maintenance Planner to be based at their Noordsberg, KZN Manufacturing Facility [R’s NEG]

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Report directly into the Maintenance Manager.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Manage the Maximo Planning System, train users, generate reports as required by Management and ensure the system meets group standards and requirements.
• Manage the condition monitoring function which includes vibration analysis, oil analysis, thickness testing and infra-red thermographic camera analysis.
• Deliver an effective Off-Crop Plan and report on progress.
• Ensure all OHSAct, Insurance and Head Office requirements are entered into the Maximo Preventive Maintenance Module.
• Be self-motivated and drive the CI process with added focus on AMP.
• Custodian of Standby roster, data library and AMP BSC.
• Custodian of required Engineering Meetings and the administrative function behind it, preparation of reports.
• Carry out FLM standby duties.
• Manage and develop subordinates in the Planning Department

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:

• Minimum Matric and Trade tested Artisan (ESSENTIAL) preferably with a MECHANICAL background and minimum 5 years’ experience in a HEAVY Engineering Industry.
• Min 5 years’ experience in CMMS Systems (Maximo), project management, plant and production experience as well as planning & scheduling skills.
• Strong management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of principles of welding, pressure vessels (per SANS 347), vacuum pans, evaporators, tank maintenance and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance system with focus on Off-Crop and stop day planning essential.
• Knowledge of Condition Based Monitoring.
• All applicants MUST be fully competent on Microsoft Word, Excel, Access Microsoft Project and Power Point applications.
• CMMS competency (Maximo) would be an added advantage.
