An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation within the FMCG / agri-processing sector. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys partnering with operational teams, and is passionate about adding value through financial insights.
POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading food manufacturer with a strong presence locally. As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, driving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional departments to ensure financial performance is effectively managed, monitored, and optimised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and performance reports.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
- Analyse production and operational costs, highlighting opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Partner with departmental managers to provide financial guidance and decision support.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant reporting standards.
- Support year-end audits, statutory reporting, and internal control improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- BCom Accounting / Finance degree.
- 3–5 years’ post-articles or relevant management accounting experience, preferably within FMCG, agriculture, or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interpret complex data.
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge (SAP, Syspro, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines.
