Management Accountant

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading food manufacturer with a strong presence locally. As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, driving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional departments to ensure financial performance is effectively managed, monitored, and optimised.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and performance reports.
• Monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
• Analyse production and operational costs, highlighting opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Partner with departmental managers to provide financial guidance and decision support.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant reporting standards.
• Support year-end audits, statutory reporting, and internal control improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

• BCom Accounting / Finance degree.
• 3–5 years’ post-articles or relevant management accounting experience, preferably within FMCG, agriculture, or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interpret complex data.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge (SAP, Syspro, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
• Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines.
