POSITION INFO:
Management Accountant
Johannesburg North | Insurance Sector

A well-established player in the insurance space is looking for a high-calibre Management Accountant to step into a commercially focused role with real influence.
This is not a box-ticking finance role. You’ll sit at the intersection of numbers, strategy, and decision-making, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and contributing to how the business actually runs.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Delivering clear, insightful financial reporting to support business decisions
Cost analysis and profitability reporting
Supporting annual budgets and long-range planning
Ensuring strong controls, compliance, and accurate financial data
Continuous improvement of reporting and finance processes

What we’re looking for:

Qualified or near-qualified (CIMA / CA(SA) / BCom + strong experience)
Solid management accounting experience within insurance or financial services
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
Commercial mindset, you understand the “why” behind the numbers
Detail-driven, deadline-focused, and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders
