Management Accountant

SUMMARY:
We are hiring again! One of our clients in the property space has an opportunity for a seasoned Management Accountant who will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, analysing, interpreting and preparing management information to support business decision making. POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a management accounting role
• Must have strong data analytics skill
• Organisation awareness
• High attention to detail

Duties Include:

• Developing departmental targets by analysing strategic targets set, defining and applying standards, assumptions and measures, developing models to calculate targets, test targets with line managers and amend annually and as required

• Responsible for extracting, analysing and interpreting information and identifying variances and developing recommendations monthly
• Preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasting by engaging various departments to collect their budget plans, capturing budget information into IDU, drafting consolidated budgets and calculation of key performance indicators, testing the viability of the budget and providing feedback annually and as required
• Reviewing the budget and forecasts by capturing and managing budget amendments, confirming final budgets with departments and integrating departmental budgets into the consolidated budget annually
• Tracking cost and budget deviations by tracking expenditure and revenue against budgets and forecasts, identifying anomalies and variances, investigating the reasons for variances, identifying cost drivers and reporting on these monthly
• Testing implications of management decisions by developing predictive models, populating the models and preparing and running scenarios, communicating the sensitivities and providing input to facilitate effective management decision making as required
• Informing business process improvements by reviewing business processes that interface with finance, identifying anomalies, identifying process and system inefficiencies and providing input to develop appropriate systems and processes to support business efficiency as required

Qualifications

Must have a relevant Finance degree – non neg!

Having completed Articles, A recognised management accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CTA – advantageous
