Our client operating within the Transport industry is currently searching for a new Management Accountant to join their Johannesburg South based Finance team.

If you are a Management Accountant with at least 7 years'' previous working experience in the same and/or similar industry, please apply!

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree and/or Bachelor of Accounting Science (BCompt) degree is required
Minimum 7 years’ previous working experience is required
Knowledge and/or working experience involving International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Advanced Pastel Accounting and Microsoft Excel software skills are advantageous

Job description & Skills:

Providing general oversight and performance management of relevant roles and responsibilities that ensure the fulfilment of the Management Accountant function including and/or involving Accounts Payable, Inventory, Diesel, Fixed Asset Register, and Asset Management
Overseeing the management of procurement systems, processes, and procedures to ensure that supplier payments are effectively and efficiently processed
Providing weekly and/or monthly forecasts on company expenditures and monthly management accounts including variance reports
Preparing the annual Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditures (OPEX) budgets for management
Compiling provisions and accrual listings as an effective service for the company and relevant suppliers
Assisting with the performance of ad hoc and/or previous unassigned tasks that may be required to provide ongoing support required by the Technical department
