A well-renowned Medical Scheme company is in search of a Management Accountant to ensure cost-effective delivery whilst overseeing expenditure within approved budget limits. The ideal candidate must be a CA(SA) with at least 3 years post Articles experience and 2 years’ experience in a managerial role. This is a very dynamic role in a fast-paced environment.

My client is a front-runner in niche medical schemes with a refined focus on excellent service to it’s members. The company is growing fast and they are in search of a Management Accountant who’s key performance areas lie in Financial Budgeting, Planning, Cost Accounting, Management Reporting, Technical Accounting, Project Accounting, Cashflow Management, Treasury Management, Financial Management and Stakeholder engagement amongst other duties.

As Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

Gathering and interpreting information to evaluate the efficiency of financial procedures.
Analyzing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning.
Developing and implementing cost-effective financial policies and procedures, as well as mitigating financial risks.
Preparing financial reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
Overseeing accounting procedures.
Monitoring auditing and taxation practices, as well as evaluating benefits and compensation packages.
Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.
Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information.
Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in management accounting.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Registered as a CA(SA)
Minimum 3 years’ post articles experience
Minimum 2 years management experience
Medical Scheme or Insurance industry experience will be given preference
Treasury Management experience advantageous
