A well know multinational pharmaceutical and manufacturing company is seeking for a Management Accountant/Financial Controller to join their dynamic team.

My client is is a leading brand within the Phamarseutical industry they specialise in marketing, selling and manufacturing of top pharmaseuticial brands. They are one of South Africa’s oldest brands in the market and therefor have obtained stability.

Job & Company Description:

• Gather and analyze financial information for internal use
• Support budgeting and funding
• Assist the company in managing its investment portfolio
• Assume responsibility of accounting procedures
• Evaluate the company’s performance using key data
• Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
• Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional controller duties as necessary
• Processing, analysing of data
• Ask difficult questions to identify weaknesses within the business model
• Be able see the bigger picture
• Someone who knows the definition of being business savvy

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Bcom
• Studying towards CIMA would be beneficial
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the same line
• Previous experience in the rmanufacturing/retail/services industry would be beneficial.
