JOB SUMMARY:
The position requires an Inventory Control and Service Parts Specialist that will be able to set strategies, create procedures of control.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The encumbered must use the system and knowledge of product to calculate the appropriate inventory (Spares and units) to be held, ensure that the systems match the future requirements and that such manual calculation requirements are eventually automated.

The person will further ensure that the inventory replenishment guidance is followed, ensuring that stock is replenished timeously at best cost and that no stock-outs occur. Lastly that parts inventory is reduced to a minimum WITHOUT stock outs occurring. The person will utilise his/her excel skills to produce accurate information from the accounting, to enable procurement decisions to be taken timeously. The position further requires assistance and executing the logistical movement of stock around Southern Africa.

Qualification, Experience and Skills

Must have a Tertiary Qualification in Logistics/procurement at a recognized institution
Skills around extracting information through v-lookups and ODBC reports from accounting system/stock system (computer office a superior excel skills)
Demonstrated ability to create a strategy for parts procurement/replenishment to reduce inventory holding without creating stock-outs
Able to assist CEO in creating an accurate parts replenishment model and stock control system
Computer applications experience (such as Accounting Software, MS Office, Internet etc.)
Syspro accounting experience will be an advantage

Key Role Responsibilities

Ensure all inventory calculations per store is calculated and executed to correct level
Enable such calculations to be provided to CEO in understandable reports
Ensure proper replenishment planning is done
Improve controls so that theft can be reduced
Creating paperwork to execute logistics
Fix and implement minimum and agreed levels of parts
Manage contracts and suppliers
Creating paperwork to execute procurement of international orders
Work with the CEO to establish correct inventory models
Creating reports to assist managers in managing their inventory at various branches
Assist the CEO to draft and improve current procedures
Learn all the parts inventory in the Company to understand where parts are used in the business.
Apply a no stock shortage, neither an overstock scenario to exist
Respect, apply the EH&S rules and policies
