JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and coordinating market development projects
Marketing and trade initiatives (coordinating and liaising with a broad range of initiatives, including trade shows/fares, congresses and exhibitions)
International generic market development for SATI members
Planning, coordinating and hosting events, functions and public relations initiatives
Managing all stakeholder engagements (including relevant government departments, SATI entities and affiliates, media, markets, etc.)
Developing, implementing and maintaining the communication strategy for the table grape industry
Managing the overall communication function including newsletters, digital marketing and social media, pamphlets, annual reports, promotion & marketing material, etc.
Brand management and visibility
Budget management and reporting

Requirements:

Candidates from designated groups as stipulated in the Employment Equity Act will receive preference
Relevant tertiary qualification
More than 5 years’ experience in market development, strategic branding and media communications
Previous experience in providing direction to CEO / Senior Management on media issues, reputation management, social responsibility and sustainability compliance
Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally on a regular basis
Proven project management experience
Bilingual with professional command of both English & Afrikaans
Knowledge of the table grape industry will be considered advantageous
