Manager: SAP Functional Team Lead

Location: Johannesburg (Constantia Kloof area)

Type: Permanent

Our client is seeking an experienced Manager: SAP Functional Team Lead to oversee and guide a multi‑disciplinary SAP functional team. This role is ideal for a seasoned SAP professional with strong leadership capability, project delivery experience, and the ability to translate business needs into effective SAP solutions.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of SAP Functional Analysts across multiple modules (HCM, MM, PM, Finance, Procurement, DMS/QM).
Oversee SAP implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support.
Drive incident, problem, and change management aligned to ITIL standards.
Ensure high‑quality change documents, root‑cause analysis, and SLA adherence.
Manage external SAP partner consultants and ensure effective delivery.
Provide expert advisory support to business process owners.
Contribute to operational strategy, business planning, and budget inputs.
Support project delivery, ensuring on‑time, high‑quality outcomes.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

Diploma/Degree in IT or Business Management.
SAP project implementation experience.
SAP certification in any SAP module.
Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team.
Advantageous: Project Management foundation certification, Supervisory training.

Deep SAP functional knowledge and systems competence.
