JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Engineering Industry has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineer in the Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Computer Literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, Inventor/AutoCAD, and Outlook
Experience in designing, estimating (quoting) & project support essential
3 - 5 years’ experience in relevant field
Must be willing to travel and work out of town when required
Valid Code 08 Driver’s License & Own Vehicle

KPAs:

Compile a bill of quantities and labour
Review client specifications and advise Operations Director of any extraordinary requirements that can significantly impact the project cost estimate.
Monitor project during design development and provide on-going follow through during the subsequent execution of the project
Travel to project sites to provide cost engineering support (site meetings)
Costing of variation orders
Planning of materials required for large scale projects
Compile detailed manufacturing drawings for production purposes
Responsible for site measurement valuations along with all relevant documentation
