SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Millwright (FMCG) for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape   

POSITION INFO:
Our client based in East London seeks a qualified Millwright with FMCG industry experience to join their maintenance team.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with technical / vocational training in maintenance / related field
• In the absence of qualifications, experience in the relevant field and at the relevant level will be considered
• At least 2 years working experience as a technician in a food / FMCG manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of food safety (FSSC and GMP requirements)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with PLC’s and able to read / interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

• Equipment maintenance – conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines etc
• Conduct inspections, and diagnose / troubleshoot malfunctions
• Timely / efficient repairs on faulty equipment and replace defective parts
• Adhere to safety regulations and keep accurate records of maintenance activities
• Collaborate with production, QC, and other departments to address maintenance issues
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
