SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Municipal Finance Specialist to join a driven transformation team. You will be tasked with developing and implementing municipal financial plans and reforms, and strengthening own source revenues, and delivering training to local counterparts from the participating municipalities.

POSITION INFO:

Municipal Finance Specialist (Long Term Contract) – Public Sector experience

We are seeking an experienced Municipal Finance Specialist to join a driven transformation team. You will be tasked with developing and implementing municipal financial plans and reforms, and strengthening own source revenues, and delivering training to local counterparts from the participating municipalities.

You will need to meet the following requirements:

Bcom Degree in Accounting/Financial Management (NQF Level 7).
Post Graduate Degree in Accounting/Financial Management (NQF Level 8 or Higher).
5 - 10 years applicable experience in Municipal Financial Management.
Experience working in a Municipal environment
Solid Public Sector experience is necessary (non negotiable)
Thorough understanding of corporate governance, business and operational risk and financial management principles
Must be a member (in good standing) of a professional body

Location: North-West Province, South Africa
