A well-established construction giant boasting with a national footprint seeks an experienced and innovative Commercial Manager to join their team based in Midrand.

The successful candidate must be able to operate under pressure, be energetic, fast and have meticulous attention to detail. Experience managing and overseeing a large team, across multiple sites with various clients and projects.

Duties include but not limited to:

Estimations & proposals

Commercial and contractual risk proposals

Cost rates & pricing

Contract & project negotiations and management

Commercial & cost control

Analyse various commercial scenarios and advise on suitability

Review and consolidate monthly commercial reports

Monitor BU budget performance

Annual project budgets

Review and develop operational processes to ensure cost effectiveness

Innovation and strategies

People management and development

Digital & automation department liaison for process improvement and streamlining

Traveling as required

Education:

Completed Diploma or Degree in Finance / Business Management / Commercial

Professional membership will be advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

10 to 12 years’ experience in a commercial role with at least 5 years in a senior / managerial position

Extensive technical knowledge of construction & EPC markets

Extensive cost engineering experience

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Meticulous attention to detail

Work well under pressure

Deadline driven and results orientated

Good people skills and assertiveness

Team player
