A well-established litigation law firm based in Parktown is looking for an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration and coordination of a busy legal practice.

This role would suit a strong legal support professional with RAF / third-party claims experience, excellent organisational skills and proven experience supervising legal secretaries or paralegal staff.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Team Management Supervise, schedule and performance-manage legal secretaries and support staff. Assist with onboarding and training of new legal secretaries. Provide guidance, support and leadership to the support team. RAF & Third-Party Claims Monitor RAF and third-party claim files for procedural compliance. Track summons deadlines, medico-legal reports, discovery, pre-trial requirements and trial roll dates. Oversee diary management and ensure prescription dates and court deadlines are never missed . Monitor matters to ensure key procedural milestones are met. Office & Practice Administration Manage day-to-day office administration, including supplies, service providers and facilities. Liaise with IT and external service providers when required. Oversee billing support and ensure appropriate administrative processes are followed. Manage file opening and closing procedures. Maintain effective document management and filing systems. Requirements 3-5 years' experience within a South African litigation law firm. Strong exposure to personal injury and\/or RAF \/ third-party claims . Proven experience supervising legal secretaries or paralegal staff. Solid understanding of the RAF claims process , including the RAF Act, Regulations, prescription periods, offers and settlements. Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Strong conflict-resolution and people-management abilities. Proficiency in legal practice management software such as LawPracticeZA, GhostPractice or similar . Proficient in Microsoft Office. Legal Secretarial or Paralegal qualification advantageous. A tertiary qualification in Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field will be an advantage. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when managing prescription dates and critical litigation deadlines .
