POSITION INFO:
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced mining environment? Our client, a leading mining company based in Pretoria, is seeking an experienced Operational Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely monthly management reports and financial statements.
Shared Services Exposure: Collaborate with group shared services to ensure efficient processing of transactions and compliance with company policies.
Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and short-term funding to support operational and capital requirements.
Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze production costs, identify variances, and provide insights to enhance operational efficiency.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with ERP system data.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bcom Accounting degree
Articles would be preferred
3-5 years of experience in an accounting role
Mining, manufacturing, construction, types of industry exposure
MS Office and Excel is essential for the role
