SUMMARY:
A dynamic organization is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Operational Accountant to join their finance team.

POSITION INFO:

This role is ideal for a technically strong Accountant who enjoys being close to operations and understanding how finance supports the movement of products, margins and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the full accounting function with a strong operational focus
Prepare journals, reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting
Analyse costs, margins and operational performance
Support stock, costing and inventory-related processes
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
Work closely with operational teams to support business performance
Assist with audits and ad hoc finance projects

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance (essential)
Minimum 2+ years’ post-articles experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting
Experience in a product-based environment advantageous
Exposure to stock, costing or operational finance beneficial
Strong Excel skills and ERP system exposure
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
