Operational Information Security Analyst - 12 Months Contract

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Centurion is currently in the process in recruiting for an Operational Information Security Analyst X2 for a 12 Months project.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance to security standards on all network switches, routers on national Windows-based operating platform
• Providing support to all infrastructure activities and projects which may require and/or impact on network and information security
• Participating in developing and maintaining an infrastructure security architecture and strategy will also form part of the responsibilities
• Ensuring compliance to security standards
• Carry out ad hoc audits to ensure effective compliance with the relevant security standards.
• Implement security products
• Provide continuous network and information security monitoring and security risk mitigation
• To participate in developing an infrastructure security architecture in the Windows and network space through effective risk assessment methodologies and research.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Deep skills and experience in information security, network security firewalls, network segmentation and other related security technologies
• Deep skills and experience in Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications. MCSE/MCSA certification is advantageous
• CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) or GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification)
• Experience and knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Events Management) infrastructures
• Minimum of 4 years in cyber - security experience
• Knowledge of large scale networked infrastructure on a Microsoft platform including switching and routing technologies
